PTA

A Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a formal organization composed of parents, teachers and staff that is intended to facilitate parental participation in a school. Responsibilities include electing parent members to serve on the School Leadership Team, conducting outreach to get other parents involved in school life, and supporting school activities like parent-teacher conferences, open houses and curriculum nights. The PTA develops its own bylaws, elects officers and holds regular meetings.
