  • New Student/Parent Orientation Video - Camp Armstrong

    Good Evening LAMS Family Members,

    I received notice from Central Administration that our Grade 5 students will be returning to school on 12/8.  Students in Grades 6-8 will continue to learn remotely from home.  The Mayor and Chancellor stated that for students in grade 5, they will return on 12/7.  However, since we are closed through 12/7 for positive COVID cases in our school, we will not open until 12/8.  We will be continuing to adhere to our Cohort schedule.  A new cohort calendar will be coming this week. 

    Also, for Grade 5 students.  If you did not sign a consent form for your child to be COVID tested, your child will not be permitted to learn onsite.  The Mayor and Chancellor stated this is mandatory.  If you do not sign a COVID consent form for your child to be tested weekly in school, your child will continue to learn remotely.  Stay safe.....Ms. Ponella

    Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year. As you know, at the beginning of every school year, it is imperative for us to have EMERGENCY CONTACT INFORMATION in case the school needs to get in touch with a student’s emergency contact. 

    Below, you will find a link to a digital copy of the EMERGENCY CONTACT CARD.

    • Print out the form
    • Sign the form where signature is requested
    • Send the completed form to

    This year all students will be using their DOE email accounts to join their Google Classrooms. If you have not activated your DOE email account, please follow the instructions below.

    Your Student Account ID and Password 

    To retrieve your account ID and password: 

    1. Go to Student Account Self Service(Open external link) 
    2. Enter your 9-digit Student ID (OSIS) number. (You can find your Student ID number on a report card, your student ID card, or in your NYCSA account.) 
    3. Enter your birthday
    4. Click Continue
    5. If the information you enter matches your student record, your username will be displayed.  
    6. Your student ID is your username followed by For example, if your username is JaneD, your student account ID is 
    7. If you haven't already set up a password, you will be asked to set one up. 
    8. Pick a password that only you will know. 
    9. Re-enter your password
    10. Click Update Password
