Welcome to House 2 Sixth Grade!!
I hope you are as excited as I am to begin a brand new school year. I am thrilled to be your teacher and look forward to a fun and productive school year. Be ready for many new and exciting challenges, so bring your “A”- game.
In my classrooms I encourage risk-taking thinking, respect, trust, and a sense of ownership amongst students. Only through these practices can we foster a tight-knit community. This will ensure a safe learning environment for all.
I believe that parents, teachers, and students must work as a team to ensure that the students can achieve their highest potential.
The UFT sponsors a homework help program for elementary and middle school students called Dial-A-Teacher. Classroom teachers answer homework questionsat 212-777-3380, Monday through Thursday, from 4 to 7 p.m. during the school year. They can also answer parents' questions and give advice on how you can help your child at home. The staff speaks 8 languages: Bengali, Chinese (Mandarin, Cantonese and Fukanese), English, French, Haitian-Creole, Russian, Slovak and Spanish.
