Hello and welcome to Mrs. Tinoco's  Science Class!   I was borned in Ecuador  and I am also half Chilean.  I did all of my elementary education up to 7th grade outside of the United States.  At the age of 12, my family moved to the United States for a better future for my sisters and I.  I started public school and had to learn English which was very hard at first but I did it!  I attended St. Joseph's college in Brooklyn where I received a Bachelors in chemistry and then went on to Brooklyn College and recieved a Master in General Science Education.  I was the first female to graduate from college in my entire family and I am very proud of what I have accomplished. My parents were always a source of inspiration and the reason why I was able to accomplish my goals. I love to travel, the movies, camping and spending time with my family. At first my parents and I resided in Brooklyn with family members, and eventually we move to Woodhaven, Queens. Here is where I now live with my husband and 3 boys.  We also have pets 2 cats my first fur babies and my dog the baby of the house. I have taught  for the Department of Education for the last 21 years, and at Lams for 16 years. This year I will be teaching 7th grade science , 8th grade science and 8th grade Biology to students in house 2, 3 and 4.
